Painting Flowers. Day Light

daylight_small.jpg

Painting flowers in the day light -for me means painting them mostly indoors, or outdoors if the day is not sunny.

The thing is that midday sun is very bright and creates too much glare on all the surfaces. I prefer to set up flowers on the windowsill where there is enough of soft light, without bright sunny spots, which are nice but usually move/changing their places rather quickly…

Here it is one of my day light painting, where I decided to let in just one tiny ray of direct sunlight which creates beautiful reflections on the glossy metal vase… In this shaddowed day light - the flowers have no distinctive light and shade on them, but still look very beautiful.
